Elena Kagan
Domestic Policy Council - Boxes 69 & 70

From 1997 to 1999, Elena Kagan served as Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and Deputy Director of the Domestic Policy Council (DPC). Previous to that, she served as Associate White House Counsel from 1995 to 1996. The records being released consist of two boxes that are filed and identified as part of her working files for the DPC. However, this material, boxes 69 and 70, specifically concern her work as Associate Counsel to the President. Therefore, these boxes are being released with the remainder of her Counsel Office files. The files include records concerning a variety of topics she worked on during her tenure as Associate Counsel to President Clinton and include drafts, memoranda, correspondence, and press-related material.

KAGAN - STAFF & OFFICE

The Clinton Library has now released the textual staff files created or received by Elena Kagan during her service as Associate Counsel to the President and Deputy Director of the Domestic Policy Council. In addition, the Clinton Library is releasing material from other staff members when those files relate to Kagan in some way.
