The Inauguration

President Clinton was inaugurated on January 20, 1993. Visitors can watch a video of highlights from the 1993 inauguration and the days leading up to the ceremony. This section of the exhibit includes photos and video of the Clintons’ visit to the graves of John and Robert Kennedy, the Pre-Inaugural Gala, the Inaugural Prayer Service, President Clinton Clinton’s swearing-in, his Inaugural Address, poet Maya Angelou reciting her poem “On the Pulse of Morning,” the Inaugural Parade, and the Inaugural Balls. Visitors can also see a signed copy of Rev. Billy Graham’s invocation and benediction and sheet music of a saxophone solo performed by President Clinton at the Arkansas Inaugural Ball.
