New Digital Library Exhibit – Economic Inclusion in the Clinton Administration

The Economic Inclusion in the Clinton Administration digital library exhibit highlights President Clinton’s efforts to enact economic policies that affected a wide range of people. Through empowerment zones, enterprise communities, the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund, and the New Markets Tour in 1999, the Clinton administration and others paved the way for growth & prosperity well into the 21st Century. 

President of the Oglala Lakota Nation welcomes President Clinton, dignitaries and guests to Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Following remarks from tribal leaders and government officials, President Clinton delivered remarks to the Pine Ridge community as part of his New Markets tour. Platform guests included Senator Tom Daschle, Senator Tim Johnson, Representative John Thune, and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Andrew Cuomo.
