Christine Mouw, Deputy Director Christine Mouw has served as Deputy Director at the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum since January 2022. She assists the Library Director in planning, directing, and administering all programs and activities of the Library. She also works closely with the administrative and facilities staff, and assists the Supervisory Museum Curator with special projects in the collection and exhibits as needed. Mouw joined the Clinton Library staff in 2005 as Supervisory Museum Curator, but her NARA career began in 1993 at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library where she served as a Museum Technician and later the Exhibits Specialist. She received a B.A. in History with concentrations in Art History and Dutch language from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She earned an M.A. in American History and a certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Delaware. Dana Simmons, Supervisory Archivist Dana Simmons joined the Clinton Presidential Library as a Museum Technician in 2001. She accepted a position in the archival department in 2002 and became the Supervisory Archivist in 2008. Simmons oversees the management of the Clinton Presidential records in all media formats, including textual, audiovisual, and electronic. She directs archival processing (including Freedom of Information Act requests), digitization, reference, declassification and supervises an archival team of 16. Simmons has a degree in history and a minor in political science. Stephanie Sims, Supervisory Curator Stephanie Sims joins the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum team as the Supervisory Museum Curator. In 2015, she became an archivist for the Clinton Foundation, solely managing former President William J. Clinton's collection of personal papers and objects. She assisted with multiple exhibit installations with NARA and the Foundation staff during her tenure. In July 2019, Sims became the Museum Director for the University Museum and Cultural Center (UMCC) at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). As the Museum Director, her duties included planning and developing the mission, goals, and objectives for the administration of museum programs, assessing museum artifacts and textual documents for appropriate conservation measures, and implementing and executing numerous temporary and permanent exhibitions. She supervised budget development and ensured the accuracy and integrity of the financial and accounting records. As the Supervisory Museum Curator, Sims is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing the programs and activities of the museum, including caring for the 100,000+ object museum collection and managing the museum's exhibit program. Sims acquired her B.S. in Visual Arts from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and an M.A. in Public History from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Kathleen Pate, Director of Education and Public Programs Kathleen Pate previously served as the Education Specialist at the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum from 2002 until 2024. She is responsible for the overall planning and direction of educational and public programs. Pate designs and delivers programs for pre-K-12th grade students and teachers, coordinates education outreach efforts, and assists with volunteer training. She collaborates on the development and implementation of public programs on a variety of historical and political topics to engage lifelong learners. Pate was born and reared in Augusta, Georgia. She has a B.A. in sociology and a certificate in women’s studies from the University of Georgia. Pate completed a thesis on the evolution of presidential library site selection to earn her M.A. in public history from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Denise Persons, Public Affairs Specialist Denise Persons is a charter staff member at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum—beginning her service under the Clinton Presidential Materials Project in 2001 as an assistant to the director. She currently serves as the Public Relations Specialist. In this role, she maintains liaisons with and represents the Library to all media outlets, arranges coverage to publicize programs and exhibits, provides social media content, engages in professional activities related to the Library, and coordinates with the administrative, curatorial, archives, and education teams at the Library. Persons is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. She holds an Associate of Applied Science from Arkansas State University, a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Radio, Television and Film from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, along with other licenses and certifications. Persons is committed to being a servant-leader in her community and is engaged with various community organizations. She has also received numerous community service awards in recognition of her commitment.
