The date range of these emails is from November 1, 1995 to January 31, 1996. President Clinton gave the 1996 State of the Union Address on January 23, 1996. The theme was “America’s Challenges,” which focused on children and families, education and schools, economic security, crime, the environment, leadership for peace and freedom, and reinventing government. The Automated Records Management System (ARMS) is a database that contains email records of the Executive Office of the President. This system maintained unclassified Presidential email. The Tape Restoration Project (TRP) is a database consisting of restored emails from the Automated Records Management System (ARMS) from July 1994 through June of 2000. The TRP is a database that contains email records of the Executive Office of the President. This system maintained unclassified Presidential email. Access Collection is open to all researchers.
