Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials. FOIA request 2006-0550-F contains material pertaining to correspondence between President Clinton and Stephen Hawking. The WHORM Subject Files contain six subject file categories. These categories contain correspondence in the form of letters and draft letters between President Clinton and Stephen Hawking relating to the White House Millennium Lectures. Included in the correspondence is a letter from President Clinton to Stephen Hawking with an excerpt of the remarks made by President Clinton at the University of Warwick on December 14, 2000. The background material consist of biographical information on Stephen Hawking and a copy of the lecture delivered by Stephen Hawking for the White House Millennium Lectures. The White House Staff and Office Files contain one file relating to correspondence between President Clinton and Stephen Hawking. As policy, Staff and Office Files are processed at the folder level, that is, individual documents are not selected and removed from a folder for processing. While this method maintains folder integrity, it frequently results in the incidental processing of documents that are not wholly responsive to the subject area. WHORM Subject and WHORM Alpha files are processed at the document level. The WHORM Subject file was compiled by the White House Office of Records Management and is a series of categories designed by a letter/number combination.
