Scope and Content Note The materials in FOIA 2006-0987-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials. FOIA 2006-0987-F contains materials from the White House Office of Records Management (WHORM) Subject File ND006. WHORM developed a system of tracking, indexing, and classifying correspondence and other presidential records prior to the transfer of these records to the custody of the National Archives. ND006 was the subject code assigned to documents related to intelligence. WHORM Subject File ND006 contains letters from private citizens to President Clinton, correspondence between the President and Congress, memoranda, drafts of legislation, and reports on a variety of matters regarding intelligence. Among these are documents discussing legislation, appropriations, American industry, and technological exports. Many of these documents are cover letters for annual reports that Congress required of the President. As the FOIA request was specifically for WHORM Subject File ND006, responsive documents were not found in any other collection areas.
