Part of these changes included allowing “bank operating subsidiaries to engage in activities that had previously not been allowed.” This collection primarily dates to November 1996 and contains fact sheets, memorandum of the Council of Economic Advisers and the Comptroller of the Currency, press releases, publications, and transcriptions of speeches of the Comptroller of the Currency. Scope and Content Note Bruce Reed worked as a domestic policy advisor for the entire eight years of the Clinton Administration, serving as Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy, Assistant to the President for the Domestic Policy Council (DPC), and finally as Director of the DPC. The Press series spans Reed’s tenure in the administration from 1993 through 2000, and includes a compilation of White House News Reports, consisting of news articles from the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and other major news organization publications. The series also includes Presidential Documents published in the Federal Register, press releases, press briefings, and meeting reports. The records in this series include letters, memos, reports, news clippings, and facsimiles.
