The records include reports, schedules of the First Lady, handwritten notes of Maggie Williams and Bobbie Greene, Maggie William calendars from 1993-1994, Maggie William call lists, Bobbie Greene and Maggie Williams memoranda, articles, emails, faxes, and correspondence both to and from the First Lady, Bobbie Greene, and Maggie Williams. Scope and Content Note Within the First Lady’s Office, Roberta ”Bobbie” Greene was Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff to the First Lady from August 1997 to October 1998. In her position, Ms. Greene acted as backup to Chief of Staff Melanne Verveer, and handled a range of administrative tasks as well as assisting in the coordination of events relating to women, children, health care, and White House preservation. Bobbie Greene began her career at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, working on the Robert F. Kennedy Oral History Project from October 1968 to October 1979. She went on to work for the nonprofit organizations Indo-China Refugee Action Center, Committee for National Security, The Forum Institute, and the People for the American Way before she started her position in the First Lady’s Office.
