It contains of memoranda, faxes, notes, letters, speech drafts, talking points and policy papers from Bruce Reed’s Domestic Policy Council records. Scope and Content Note The materials in FOIA 2013-0912-F are a selective body of documents responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials. In 1999 and 2000, Bruce Reed was the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and the Director of the Domestic Policy Council. As the President's chief domestic policy advisor, he oversaw a variety of issues including education, crime, welfare reform, tobacco, family policy, health care, and philanthropy, as well as long-term policy development. Mr. Reed worked at the White House from the beginning of the Clinton-Gore Administration – first as Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and later as Assistant to the President for Policy Planning, where he supervised the development of the Administration's second-term agenda.
