This collection consists of the White House Office of Records Management files of the President's Domestic Policy Adviser, Bruce Reed from 1999 through 2000. As the President's chief domestic policy advisor, he oversaw a variety of issues including education, crime, welfare reform, tobacco, family policy, health care, and philanthropy, as well as long-term policy development. Mr. Reed worked at the White House from the beginning of the Clinton-Gore Administration – first as Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and later as Assistant to the President for Policy Planning, where he supervised the development of the Administration's second-term agenda.
