These Clinton Presidential Records were declassified in response to a Mandatory Declassification Review request for all exemption 1 closures in Freedom of Information Act case 2006-0218-F (All documents related to Rwanda in the files of Donald Steinberg). Topics in this collection of Steinberg records from 1993 and 1994 include Topics the gamut of operations and policy in Rwanda. For example, working with United Nations allies to create and maintain a security force or documents related to the shipment of military supplies to Uganda. The collection also includes summaries of conclusions from Principles Committee and Deputies Committee minutes. It also includes discussion of Rwanda with Leonid Kuchma, Lech Walesa, Paul Kagame and other heads of state.
