The Summit was convened by President Clinton and former President George H.W. Bush, and chaired by General Colin Powell. As a result of the Summit, America’s Promise Alliance was formed, a program focused on at-risk youth. The records contain letters, memos, reports, email, publications, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, and handwritten notes.
