This collection also contains emails concerning invitations for Schmidt and other business leaders to meet with the President, or to attend White House events. Scope and Content Note The materials in FOIA 2020-0917-F (Segment 2) are a selective body of documents responsive to the topic of the FOIA. This collection contains textual records related to Eric Schmidt that date to his time as the Chairman and CEO of the software company Novell (1997 to 2001). Schmidt was also a known supporter of the Democratic Party. This collection contains correspondence concerning universal internet access, digital democracy, NetDay, and export rules. In addition to photographs of the Novell Campus in San Jose, California, the collection also includes correspondence, scheduling materials, and lists of invitees concerning the 1999 National Education Summit, the World Economic Forum in 2000, and holiday parties.
