This collection consists of electronic records concerning correspondence or communication with Eric Schmidt .This collection contains emails concerning Eric Schmidt’s attendance at an informal reception for CEO’s and foreign heads of state at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2000. This collection also contains emails concerning invitations for Schmidt and other business leaders to meet with the President, or to attend White House events.

This collection contains textual records related to Eric Schmidt that date to his time as the Chairman and CEO of the software company Novell (1997 to 2001). Schmidt was also a known supporter of the Democratic Party. This collection contains correspondence concerning universal internet access, digital democracy, NetDay, and export rules. In addition to photographs of the Novell Campus in San Jose, California, the collection also includes correspondence, scheduling materials, and lists of invitees concerning the 1999 National Education Summit, the World Economic Forum in 2000, and holiday parties.

The WHORM Alpha file was compiled by the White House Office of Records Management from 1993 – 1996 and is a series of documents arranged by name of persons, organizations, or events. The WHORM Subject file was compiled by the White House Office of Records Management and is a series of categories designated by a letter/number combination. In addition, there are WHORM (OP) and WHORM (Alpha Project) series.
