The film also won four Golden Globe Awards and in 1989 the Library of Congress selected High Noon for preservation in the United States National Film Registry as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”. President Clinton, in several interviews says that High Noon is one of his all-time favorite movies. In an interview with People Magazine he said, “best western ever made” and when Katie Couric of NBC interviewed him he told her all about the movie and why he liked it so much. The records contain interview transcripts with President Clinton from People Magazine and Katie Couric of NBC. They also contain correspondence, drafts, notes, invitations and articles from the internet. The correspondence, drafts and notes contain thank you letters from the President to individuals thanking them for sending him copies of the movie, High Noon.

The WHORM Subject file was compiled by the White House Office of Records Management and is a series of categories designated by a letter/number combination. In addition, there are WHORM (OP) series. WHORM files are processed at the document level; that is, individual documents are not selected and removed from a folder for processing. While this method maintains folder integrity, it frequently results in the incidental processing of documents that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
