Although not designated a terrorist group, Jamaat ul-Fuqra has been described as a paramilitary organization composed mostly of African-American Muslims based in the United States and Pakistan. Since the group’s founding in 1980, members have been linked to a number of violent incidents in the U.S. and Canada. This collection consists primarily of cables on Jamaat ul-Fuqra linked incidents. Also included is correspondence from an American Muslim organization and NSC Records Management System cover sheets.
