(2018-1192-F) Jeremy Rosner and NATO Enlargement

8 folders, approximately 137 pages

This collection consists of records related to NSC Staffer Jeremy Rosner and NATO enlargement. It contains memoranda, notes, correspondence, talking points, reports, and administrative paperwork.

The materials in FOIA 2018-1192-F are a selective body of documents responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related material. The original request was for White House correspondence with Jeremy Rosner concerning NATO enlargement. This search includes records wherein Jeremy Rosner was copied on the message. The records to be opened in this collection consist primarily of memos and drafts of talking points to be made when contacting senators about supporting NATO enlargement. There is also an analysis by Jeremy Rosner of a Pew Center poll on NATO enlargement. Jeremy Rosner was the senior director for Legislative Affairs in the National Security Council from 1993-1994, as well as a foreign policy speechwriter. After leaving the National Security Council, he served as special adviser to the President and Secretary of State Albright, working on the enlargement of NATO to include the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary. The Senate ratified the enlargement in April 1998.
