This collection contains a copy of Justice Blackmun’s letter to President Clinton informing the President of his intent to retire. Justice Harry Blackmun served as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1970 until his retirement in 1994, and is best known as the author of the Supreme Court’s opinion in the abortion rights case, Roe v. Wade.
