Scope and Content Note This collection contains the files of Lee Satterfield, who served as Staff Director in the Office of Public Liaison from 1995 to 1997. Satterfield focused on managing OPL staff; administering office policies and procedures; cultivating relationships with key and potential new constituencies; and developing public support for legislation aligned with the Clinton Administration’s goals. In 1995, she also served as the White House contact for the World War II Commemoration Committee, which coordinated multiple events in recognition of the 50th anniversary of World War II. Before serving in the Office of Public Liaison, Satterfield worked in the Office of Scheduling and Advance from 1994 to 1995. She served as the Deputy Director for Scheduling for the President and Special Assistant to the President. After her work in the White House, she became Deputy Chief of Staff at the United States Department of Labor under Secretary Alexis Herman.
