Scope and Content Note Nicole Rabner was a mainstay of the First Lady’s Office for almost the entire Clinton administration. Records show her starting out as a university fellow under Melanne Verveer December1993 through May 1995. She was formally hired in July 1995 as Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff to the First Lady. Rabner’s expertise landed her the position of Associate Director for Domestic Policy in January 1997 which she held until February 1999 when she assumed the title of Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy. Rabner worked in the Domestic Policy Council and in the First Lady’s Office concurrently during her White House employment. The First Lady further entrusted Rabner with representing her interests in the technical meetings that preceded each Wives of Heads of State of the Americas conference. She left the administration in February 2000.
