Files in the Counsel’s Office contain pledges and also correspondence regarding termination reports, new employment outside the White House, and document requests. Management & Administration files include correspondence and forms concerning duty stations and salary, tracking of personnel actions, and check-out procedures upon separation from government service. Security Office files contain routine correspondence and forms concerning tracking of personnel actions, background investigations and clearances, and access to the White House. These personnel files contain many closures related to personal privacy. Such closures relate to personal details of a federal employee’s service and include job performance evaluations, investigatory reports, background checks, and financial forms.
