It contains the daily activity schedules of President Clinton, noting times of phone calls, meetings, and events for each day. FOIA 2013-0549-F contains the Presidential Daily Diary hardcopy files of Ellen McCathran, Presidential Diarist for 1993 through 2000. As Presidential Diarist, Ellen McCathran recorded the daily activities of President Clinton including meetings, phone calls, social events, and trips. Details of these events include date, time, and names of individuals involved with the events. Telephone calls are identified by either “P” or “R” for placed or received. The researcher should note that several dates have no records and are marked as such in the folders. The researcher should also be aware that the hardcopy files end on December 26, 2000. Record Type Textual System of Arrangement Records that are responsive to this FOIA request were found in this collection area—Clinton Presidential Records: White House Staff and Office Files. Staff and Office files were maintained at the folder level by staff members within their individual offices and document all levels of administration activity. Staff and Office files are processed at the folder level, that is, individual documents are not selected and removed from a folder for processing. While this method maintains folder integrity, it frequently results in the incidental processing of documents that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
