Presidential Diarist Ellen McCathran logged the events of the President’s day, including meetings, phone calls and trips. Notable entries include phone calls to the family of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on May 20, 1994 expressing condolences on her recent death and the President’s address to the nation announcing military strikes against Iraq on December 16, 1998.
