This collection contains the files of Rebecca, “Becky,” Salay, who served as an Associate Director of Research in the research unit of the Office of Communications from 1999 to 2001. The records consist of accomplishment sheets, handwritten notes, memoranda, press releases, publications, correspondence, calendars, speeches, talking points, and printed emails, concerning a variety of issues, including the budget, economy, education, trade, environment, health, women’s issues, United States census, the State of the Union, National Performance Review, and Reinventing Government.

This collection contains the files of Rebecca, “Becky,” Salay, who served as an Associate Director of Research in the research unit of the Office of Communications from 1999 to 2001. Salay’s main duties focused on compiling the Clinton administration’s accomplishments for public distribution that included state-by-state statistics and programs. Before serving in the Office of Communications, Salay worked as a Senior Legislative Assistant to Representative Rosa DeLauro from May 1997 to September 1999. After her work in the White House, she returned to Representative Rosa DeLauro’s office as a Legislative Director. The records consist of accomplishment sheets, handwritten notes, memoranda, press releases, publications, correspondence, calendars, speeches, talking points, and printed emails, concerning a variety of issues, including the budget, economy, education, trade, environment, health, women’s issues, United States census, the State of the Union, National Performance Review, and Reinventing Government.
