The collection contains news clippings about the First Lady’s May 1997 trip to Mexico City and newspapers and magazines articles with the search term “Hillary Rodham Clinton” from August 1997 to June 1998. Scope and Content Note Sandra Tijerina served as the Press Office Manager for the First Lady in 1997 and 1998. This series contains photocopies of clippings from various newspapers in the United States and Mexico concerning the President and First Lady’s official visit to Mexico City in May of 1997. The series also contains weekly printouts from February 1997 through June 1998 of the LexisNexis news search performed by the librarians in the Old Executive Office Building. The search was performed under the direction of the First Lady’s Press Office and the search term used was “Hillary Rodham Clinton.” These printouts list all occurrences of the First Lady’s name in every newspaper in the United States during the period covered by each search.
