FOIA 2018-0064-F contains National Security Council (NSC) records management documents related to United States participation in the 1998 Summit of the Americas in Santiago, Chile on April 18 and 19, 1998. This was the second in a series of regular summits after the first one in Miami in 1994. The files, which date from late 1997 through late 1998, contain memoranda, reports, and papers regarding preparation before the summit and subsequent follow-up on its initiatives. The researcher should be aware that many of the more sensitive records have been withheld for national security reasons.
