Scope and Content Note This collection contains the files of Thomas “Tom” Freedman, who served as Senior Adviser to the President for Policy and Strategy from 2000-2001. Prior to that role, he served as Senior Director for Policy Planning from 1998-2000. In the 1996 presidential campaign, Tom was Chief of Staff for Political Strategy, helping to create the policy and communications plan for the Clinton/Gore 1996 campaign. 2025-0679-S consists of correspondence from members of Congress and congressional staff, federal agencies, memoranda, printed emails, news articles, draft legislation, speeches, publications, reports, press releases, statistical material and handwritten notes.
