The segment contains photographs pertaining to: arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, press briefings, interviews, and photo-ops involving President Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and White House staff.

The photographs processed in this segment were created from October 5, 1993 and October 7, 1993 through October 9, 1993. The segment contains photographs pertaining to: arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, press briefings, interviews, photo-ops, etc., involving President Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and staff for the time period processed. Photographs from October 5, 1993 are as follows: President William Jefferson Clinton addresses the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Presidential Forum on senior health care issues at Doctor Paul Carlson Memorial Park in Culver City, California. President William Jefferson Clinton departs Los Angeles via Air Force One. Photographs from October 7, 1993 are as follows: Admiral David Jeremiah, Secretary Warren Christopher, and Secretary Les Aspin deliver a press conference regarding Somalia in the Press Briefing Room. President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton participate in the Arts and Humanities awards ceremony at the White House. Photographs from October 8, 1993 are as follows: President William Jefferson Clinton attends a Democratic National Committee breakfast at the Sheraton Washington Hotel. President William Jefferson Clinton looks at a visual aid held by Roy Neel. Present include Vice President Al Gore, Andrew Friendly, Dee Dee Myers, David Gergen, George Stephanopoulos, Mack McLarty, Bruce Lindsey, Mark Gearan, and Stephanie Streett. President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton depart the White House. They depart via Marine One en route to Andrews Air Force base. The President embarks upon Air Force One en route to New Jersey. The First Lady departs en route to Rhode Island. President William Jefferson Clinton arrives in New Jersey. The President greets Governor Jim Florio and Mayor Sharpe James. President William Jefferson Clinton arrives at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. The President delivers remarks. Present include Governor Jim Florio, Harvey Holzberg, Doctor Jeffrey Hammond, Patricia Jones, and Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontura. President William Jefferson Clinton departs New Jersey and arrives at Andrews Air Force Base. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton arrives in Providence, Rhode Island. The First Lady proceeds to Kent Nursing Home in Warwick, Rhode Island. The First Lady participates in activities with children and senior citizens. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton participates in a panel with satellite link-up in Rhode Island. Senator John Chafee, Senator Claiborne Pell, Representative John Reed and Representative Ron Machtley are present. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton addresses the Association for Retarded Citizens* in Providence, Rhode Island. *Archivist’s Note: This organization has changed its name to The ARC of The United States to promote sensitive terminology. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton departs Rhode Island. Present include Christine Heenan, Melanne Verveer, and Lisa Caputo, among others. Photographs from October 9, 1993 are as follows: President William Jefferson Clinton delivers the weekly radio address in the Oval Office. President William Jefferson Clinton speaks with Howard Paster and Marcia Hale in the Oval Office. President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton depart for New Haven Connecticut. The President and First Lady arrive in New Haven. They are greeted by Representative Rosa Delauro, Representative Barbara Kennelly, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, State Comptroller William Curry, among others. President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton participate in events at Yale University. The President addresses the attendees. Later, the President and First Lady visit Abate Restaurant. President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton depart New Haven, Connecticut.
