FOIA 2016-0984-F (Segment 22) is a request for all Clinton Administration White House photographs taken from January 1, 1994 through December 31, 1994. The photographs processed in this segment were created from March 11, 1994 through March 14, 1994. The segment contains photographs pertaining to arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, press briefings, interviews, photo-ops, etc., involving President William Jefferson Clinton, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, White House Staff and others for the time period processed. Photographs from March 11, 1994 are as follows: President William Jefferson Clinton in the Old Executive Office Building announces the Summit of the Americas. Present includes Vice President Albert Gore, Jr., Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States Christopher Thomas, Director of External Relations of the Inter-American Development Bank Muni Figueres, and Governor Lawton Chiles. Also photographed includes Hattie Babbitt and Thomas “Mack” McLarty, among others. Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in one collection area and one series— Clinton Presidential Records: Photographs of the White House Photograph Office and the series therein—Photographs Relating to the Clinton Administration. Processing is done at the Folder/Contact sheet level. While this method maintains folder/contact sheet integrity, it frequently results in the processing of photographs that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
