Scope and Content Note FOIA 2006-1135-F is a request for all Clinton administration White House photographs taken in 1993. The photographs processed in this segment 6 were created from January 18, 1993; January 20, 1993 through January 21, 1993. Further description for events above are described below: The inaugural ceremony at the U.S. Capitol includes the traditional swearing-in of the oath of office for the President and the Vice-President, President Clinton’s Inaugural address, and the Inaugural luncheon with Congress in Statuary Hall at the Capitol. Notable guests and performers at the Inaugural ceremony: President George H.W. Bush, former President Jimmy Carter, Maya Angelou, Rev. Billy Graham, and Marilyn Horne. (Photographs include overall views of the U.S. Capitol and Inaugural ceremony, and black and white photos and panoramic views.) Photograph contact sheets for this segment include coverage of the Inaugural parade that follows the Inaugural Ceremony at the Capitol. The Clintons ride from the Capitol in the presidential limousine. During the ride, the Clintons decide to walk down Pennsylvania Ave. to the parade reviewing stand. The Clintons and the Gores greet family and friends and watch the parade entertainment from the reviewing stand. (Photographs include views of the inaugural floats and marching bands.) This segment includes photographs of the traditional Inaugural balls in Washington D.C. Hillary Rodham Clinton poses for formal portrait photos of her Inaugural gown in the residence. The Clintons make the rounds to the various states’ balls. The Clintons dance and President Clinton plays the saxophone with the various bands at the balls.
