Scope and Content Note FOIA 2023-0121-F is a request for all photographs of music group Pearl Jam at the White House in 1994. Pearl Jam is a rock ‘n’ roll band from Seattle, Washington. The band formed in 1990. The group currently includes lead singer Eddie Vedder, guitarist Stone Gossard, bass guitarist Jeff Ament, guitarist Mike McCready, and drummer Matt Cameron. President Clinton greets and meets with Pearl Jam in the Oval Office on April 9, 1994. Band members present include Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready. The band is joined by John Hoyt, Pyramid Communications, and Kelly Curtis, band manager during the visit. Eddie Vedder talks with Dee Dee Myers, Tony Lake and greets other White House staff during the visit. Eddie Vedder and the band talk with Ricki Seidman and others in the Cabinet Room and the Roosevelt Room. The band was in Washington to perform a concert on their U.S. tour. Additional images processed as a matter of consequence include the President greeting an unidentified woman in the Oval Office and President Clinton greeting Elizabeth Spencer and family in the Oval Office.
