FOIA 2016-0984-F (Segment 78) is a request for all Clinton Administration White House photographs taken August 8, 1994, through August 11, 1994. Numerous photo contact sheets from August 8 & 9, 1994, were previously processed in case 2021-0642-F. The Clinton Presidential records to be opened consist of photographs pertaining to arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, press briefings, official phone calls, photo-ops, etc. involving President William Jefferson Clinton, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, White House Staff, and others for the time period processed. Photographs from August 8, 1994, are as follows: President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton greet Medal of Freedom Award recipients and their families in the Blue Room. The President and First Lady honor the awardees in an East Room ceremony. The Medal of Freedom awardees are Herbert Block, Helen Chavez accepting for her late husband Cesar Chavez, Dr. Arthur Flemming, James Grant, Dorothy Height, Barbara Jordan, Lane Kirkland, Representative Bob Michel, and Robert Sargent Shriver. President Clinton drops by a meeting with the leadership of the Armenian-America community in the Roosevelt Room. Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in one collection area and one series—Clinton Presidential Records: Photographs of the White House Photograph Office and the series therein—Photographs Relating to the Clinton Administration. Processing is done at the Folder/Contact sheet level. While this method maintains folder/contact sheet integrity, it frequently results in the processing of photographs that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
