The segment consists of photographs pertaining to arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, press briefings, interviews, photo-ops, etc., involving President Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, White House Staff, and others for the time period processed.

FOIA 2016-0984-F (Segment 115) is a request for all Clinton Administration White House photographs taken from January 1, 1994, through December 31, 1994. The photographs processed in this segment were created on November 16, 1994; December 4, 1994, through December 6, 1994. The segment contains photographs pertaining to arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, press briefings, interviews, photo-ops, etc., involving President William Jefferson Clinton, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, White House Staff, and others for the time period processed. Photographs from November 16, 1994, are as follows: President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton greet people prior to departing Jakarta, Indonesia at Halim Perdanakusuma Civilian Airport. Photographs from December 4, 1994, are as follows: First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton visits with guests in the Presidential Box prior to the Kennedy Center Honors program at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Guests include Vice President Albert Gore, Aretha Franklin, Prince Bandar bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia, Jack Valenti, Kirk Douglas, and Pamela Harriman. President Clinton talks on the telephone with President Hafiz Asad of Syria in the White House Treaty Room office. President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton honor Kennedy Center Honors Awardees at a reception in the East Room. Honorees include Pete Seeger, Harold Prince, Morton Gould, Aretha Franklin, and Kirk Douglas. The First Lady greets honorees and their guests in the Blue Room including Edwin Schlossberg, Caroline Kennedy, Joel Klein, Mark Gearan, Martha Stewart, Michael Douglas, Tony Randall, Tom Skerritt, Richard Schiff, Kathleen Turner, Lauren Bacall, Joan Baez, and others. The Clintons embrace prior to President Clinton departing the White House for a trip to Hungary. President Clinton meets with staff aboard Air Force One during his flight to Budapest, Hungary. President Clinton and Secretary Warren Christopher participate in the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe Conference (CSCE) in Patria Hall, the Budapest Convention Center. Conference participants include Prime Minister Gyula Horn, Hungary, United Nations Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali, President Boris Yeltsin of Russia, Prime Minister John Major, Great Britain, Chancellor Helmut Kohl of Germany, and others. President Clinton visits with heads of state including Prime Minister Major and President Yeltsin. President Clinton addresses U.S. Embassy personnel and their families at Ferihegy Airport in Budapest. President Clinton is joined by Ambassador Alan Blinken and Melissa Blinken. Attorney General Janet Reno and Director Carol Browner participate in meeting with elected women tribal leaders in the Old Executive Office Building (OEOB). Photographs from December 6, 1994, are as follows: President Clinton meets in the Cabinet Room with School-to-Work corporate executive officers to discuss School-to-Work implementation. Secretary Robert Reich and Secretary Richard Riley are present at the meeting. President Clinton and Leon Panetta visit with Secretary Lloyd Bentsen and his wife Beryl Ann Longino in the Oval Office. They are joined by Robert Rubin and his wife Judith Oxenberg, Mark Gearan, George Stephanopoulos, Mack McLarty, and Secretary Richard Riley. President Clinton and Secretary Bentsen pose with Secretary Bentsen’s staff for a group photo. President Clinton announces Robert Rubin as Secretary Bentsen’s replacement as Secretary of the Treasury in a White House Rose Garden ceremony. In addition to the President’s remarks, Secretary Bentsen and Robert Rubin addressed the ceremony. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton meets with Jane Alexander in the Map Room. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton addresses a physical fitness event on the White House South Lawn. Participants include Dr. C. Everett Koop, Co-Chairs of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness Florence Griffth Joyner and Tom McMillen. Prior to the ceremony the First Lady greets Dr. Koop, Florence Griffith Joyner, Al Joyner, Tom McMillen, and others.

Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in one collection area and one series—Clinton Presidential Records: Photographs of the White House Photograph Office and the series therein—Photographs Relating to the Clinton Administration. Processing is done at the Folder/Contact sheet level. While this method maintains folder/contact sheet integrity, it frequently results in the processing of photographs that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
