FOIA 2016-0985-F (Segment 2) is a request for all Clinton Administration White House photographs taken from January 1, 1995, through December 31, 1995. The photographs processed in this segment were created on December 23, 1994; January 3, 1995, through January 10, 1995. Select photo contact sheets from January 9, 1995, were previously processed in case 2009-1398-F. Photo contact sheet P23338 contains one photo from December 23, 1994. Photo contact sheet P23387 photo negatives were transferred by the White House Photo Office to the Curator’s Office photo collection as F4250. The Finding Aid inventory will reflect the previously processed photo contact sheets. The segment contains photographs pertaining to arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, press briefings, interviews, photo-ops, etc., involving President William Jefferson Clinton, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, White House Staff, and others for the time period processed. Photographs from January 3, 1995, are as follows: President Clinton participates in duck hunting in Cotton Plant, Arkansas. President Clinton greets and talks with friends at a residence in Cotton Plant. President Clinton talks to the Press Pool after hunting. President Clinton visits the Cotham Mercantile Store in Scott, Arkansas. The President talks with the store owners and Arkansas State Troopers. President Clinton talks to reporters outside the store. President Clinton arrives at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas and visits his mother Virginia’s gravesite. Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in one collection area and one series— Clinton Presidential Records: Photographs of the White House Photograph Office and the series therein—Photographs Relating to the Clinton Administration. Processing is done at the Folder/Contact sheet level. While this method maintains folder/contact sheet integrity, it frequently results in the processing of photographs that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
