FOIA 2008-0666-F (Segment 20) is a request for all Clinton Administration White House photographs taken from July 1, 2000 through December 31, 2000. The photographs processed in this segment were created from October 5, 2000 through October 6, 2000 and October 8, 2000 through October 11, 2000. The segment contains photographs pertaining to: arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, photo-ops, etc., involving President Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, staff and others for the time period processed. Photographs from October 5, 2000 are as follows: President William Jefferson Clinton delivers remarks to the conference on the progressive tradition at Princeton University. Present include Princeton President Harold Shapiro, Sean Wilentz, Katharine Gilbert, and Michael Rothschild. Later the President proceeds to Trenton County Airport en route New York. President William Jefferson Clinton arrives in New York, NY. The President greets drivers at the Supper Club. Prominent among the guests are Kevin Spacey whom is photographed outside the club with the President. The President departs New York via Air Force One en route Andrews Air Force Base. Photographs from October 6, 2000 are as follows: President William Jefferson Clinton signs various bills and legislation in the Oval Office. The President signs HR 2909, the Intercountry Adoption Act of 2000. Present is Representative Sheila Jackson, among others. The President signs the Small Business Export Task Force Executive Order. Present are Senators Jesse Helms & Mary Landrieu, and Representative Sam Gejdenson, among others. The President signs the Increasing Opportunities and Access for Disadvantaged Businesses Executive Order. Present are Representatives Albert Wynn & Carolyn Kilpatrick, among others. President William Jefferson Clinton delivers his weekly radio address. The President greets guests in attendance including Jennifer Palmieri, among others. Present also is Samuel “Sandy” Berger whom confers with the President. President William Jefferson Clinton delivers a statement regarding the election in the Republic of Serbia. Prior to the statement the President confers with senior staff. President William Jefferson Clinton speaks on the telephone in the Oval Office with Chancellor Gerhardt Schroeder of Germany. Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in one collection area and one series— Clinton Presidential Records: Photographs of the White House Photograph Office and the series therein—Photographs Relating to the Clinton Administration. Processing is done at the Folder/Contact sheet level. While this method maintains folder/contact sheet integrity, it frequently results in the processing of photographs that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
