The photographs processed in this segment were created on May 7, 1994 & June 23, 1994 through June 27, 1994. The segment contains photographs pertaining to arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, press briefings, interviews, photo-ops, etc., involving President William Jefferson Clinton, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, White House Staff, and others for the time period processed. Photographs from May 7, 1994 are as follows: President William Jefferson Clinton meets with foreign policy advisors in the Cabinet Room of the White House. Present include Vice President Albert Gore, Jr., Secretary of State Warren Christopher, Tony Lake, Samuel “Sandy” Berger, Lloyd Cutler, Secretary of Defense William Perry, Leon Fuerth, Ambassador Madeleine Albright, George Stephanopoulos, and General John Shalikashvili, among others. Photographs from June 23, 1994 are as follows: President William Jefferson Clinton meets with California Gubernatorial candidate Kathleen Brown in the Oval Office of the White House. President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton attend the congressional picnic at the White House. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton greets guests present during a HealthRight event at the United States Capitol in Washington, DC. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton greets Ambassador Myles Frechette and Barbara Ann Frechette at the White House. Following the meeting the First Lady also greets James Riady and Aileen Riady. Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in one collection area and one series— Clinton Presidential Records: Photographs of the White House Photograph Office and the series therein—Photographs Relating to the Clinton Administration. Processing is done at the Folder/Contact sheet level. While this method maintains folder/contact sheet integrity, it frequently results in the processing of photographs that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
