FOIA 2016-0984-F (Segment 112) is a request for all Clinton Administration White House photographs taken from January 1, 1994 through December 31, 1994. The photographs processed in this segment were created on November 21, 1994 through November 23, 1994. The segment contains photographs pertaining to arrivals, departures, meetings, ceremonies, press briefings, interviews, photo-ops, etc., involving President William Jefferson Clinton, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, White House Staff, and others for the time period processed. Of particular focus is a visit to the White Houe by President Leonid Danylovych Kuchma (Леонід Данилович Кучма) and Mrs. Liudmyla Mykolaivna Kuchma (Людмила Миколаївна Кучма) of Ukraine. Photographs from November 21, 1994 are as follows: President William Jefferson Clinton receives ambassador credentials from ambassadors in the Oval Office of the White House. Prior to the greetings Molly Raiser & Tony Lake are photographed. The ambassadors include Ambassador Kossivi Ossey I of Togo, Ambassador Carlos Ileras de la Fuente of Colombia, Ambassador Henry Koba of the Central African Republic, Ambassador Andre Adam of Belgium, Ambassador Mary Kanya of Swaziland (Kingdom of Swaziland), Ambassador Gyorrgy Banlak I of Hungary, Ambassador Mohamed Azouz Ennifar of Tunisia, Ambassador Yuriy Mikolay Evych Shcherback of Ukraine, Ambassador Ricard Arias of Panama, and Ambassador Lucian Edgar Tonoukouin of Benin. President William Jefferson Clinton meets with Vice President Albert Gore, Jr., Samuel “Sandy” Berger, Nicholas Burns, and Leon Panetta, among others, in the Oval Office of the White House. President William Jefferson Clinton meets with Stephen Goodin, Betty Currie, and Nancy Hernreich in the Outer Oval Office of the White House. The President writes on a piece of paper held by Stephen Goodin & reads a paper handed to him by Betty Currie. President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton greet President Leonid Danylovych Kuchma (Леонід Данилович Кучма) and Mrs. Liudmyla Mykolaivna Kuchma (Людмила Миколаївна Кучма) of Ukraine at the Diplomatic Entrance of the White House. Following the meeting & photo opportunity President Clinton and President Kuchma proceed to the Cabinet Room for an expanded meeting. President Clinton escorts President Kuchma to his motorcade, and President Clinton stops along the way to pick up Socks the cat. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton speaks with the press prior to the state dinner for President Leonid Danylovych Kuchma (Леонід Данилович Кучма) of Ukraine. Present is White House Executive Chef Walter Scheib, White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier, Capricia Marshall, and Neel Lattimore. President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton greet President Leonid Danylovych Kuchma (Леонід Данилович Кучма) and Mrs. Liudmyla Mykolaivna Kuchma (Людмила Миколаївна Кучма) of Ukraine. The Clintons and Kuchmas proceed to the Yellow Oval Room of the White House and are given a short tour. The Clintons and Kuchmas greet guests at the State Dinner including Garrison Keillor, Representative Tom Foley, Heather Foley, Michael Bolton, Nicolette Sheridan, Senator Patrick Leahy, Secretary of the Treasury Lloyd Bensen, Beryl Ann Bentsen, Zbigniew Bezenski, and Senator Richard Lugar, among others. President Clinton and President Kuchma make a toast in the State Dinning Room, followed by entertainment in the East Room. The Clintons and Kuchmas dance in the Grand Foyer. Present are Samuel “Sandy” Berger and Jim Reed. President William Jefferson Clinton speaks with Robert Rubin, Leon Panetta, and Gene Sperling in the Oval Office of the White House. President William Jefferson Clinton meets with President-Elect Ernesto Zedillo of Mexico in the Map Room of the White House. President Clinton & President-Elect Zedillo participating in a working luncheon in the Old Family Dining Room. Present includes Thomas “Mack” McLarty, Attorney General Janet Reno, Secretary of State Warren Christopher, Secretary of the Treasury Lloyd Bentsen, Robert Rubin, and Samuel “Sandy” Berger, among others. President William Jefferson Clinton delivers remarks in the Rose Garden of the White House regarding the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). Present include Senator Robert Dole, Leon Panetta, Senator Robert Packwood, Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Secretary of the Treasury Lloyd Bentsen, Secretary of State Warren Christopher, Mickey Kantor, and George Stephanopoulos. Prior to the announcement the President confers with staff in the Oval Office and Oval Office Dining Room. President William Jefferson Clinton participates in the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation in the Rose Garden of the White House. Prior to the event the President greets guest in the Oval Office including Carol Rasco and later greets children at the ceremony in the Rose Garden. The President pardons the turkey. Also present are Alexis Herman and Sarah Ryan. President William Jefferson Clinton & First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton arrive at the So Others Might Eat (SOME) soup kitchen in Washington, DC. The President and First Lady help serve Thanksgiving dinner at the kitchen. Also present is Father John Adams.

Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in one collection area and one series— Clinton Presidential Records: Photographs of the White House Photograph Office and the series therein—Photographs Relating to the Clinton Administration. Processing is done at the Folder/Contact sheet level. While this method maintains folder/contact sheet integrity, it frequently results in the processing of photographs that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
