Materials include memorandum of conversations (memcons) between the President and several foreign heads of state: Prime Minister Ciampi of Italy, Prime Minister Dehaene of Belgium, Prime Minister Kok of the Netherlands, and President Herzog of Germany. Also included are the memcons for the President's meeting with NATO Secretary General Willy Claes on March 7, 1995 and a meeting between Anthony Lake, Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, and French President Jacques Chirac on November 1, 1996. Memoranda and papers on the subject of NATO expansion are also included.
