Material includes emails and memos to the National Security Advisor from NSC African Affairs and Global Affairs directors regarding U.N. peacekeeping efforts in Rwanda during the fall and winter in 1993 and daily updates on Rwanda during the spring of 1994. Other materials include background papers and summaries of conclusions of NSC Deputies Committee meetings and handwritten notes from Ad Hoc and Peacekeeping Core Group meetings. Memos from National Security Advisor Anthony Lake to President Clinton concerning humanitarian relief efforts in the summer of 1994 are also included.
