Freedom of Information Act Collection Textual (2014-0130-F) Investigation of the Whereabouts of the U.S. Citizens Who Have Been Missing from Cyprus since 1974 This collection consists of records related to Ambassador Robert S. Dillon’s “Report to Congress on the Investigation of the Whereabouts of the U.S. Citizens Who Have Been Missing from Cyprus Since 1974.” The report was in response to Public Law 103-372, which called for an investigation into the disappearance of five U.S. Citizens (Andreas Kassapis, Kyriacos Hadjichristoudias, Socrates Kapsouris, Christos Libertos, and Kyriacos “Jack” Sophocleous) missing since the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in the Summer of 1974. It includes correspondence to Hillary Clinton from a diverse assortment of friends, regular citizens and celebrities. It also contains correspondence from Senators and Representatives, briefing books and background materials related to health care reform and analysis from medical and insurance experts. In addition, this collection also contains background material, memoranda and correspondence related to Gulf War Illness. Lastly, the collection contains State by State political analysis of the economic progress of the country from 1992 to 1994. Systematically Processed Collection Textual (2014-0209-S) Jennifer Klein - Domestic Policy Council This collection consists of records from the files of Jennifer Klein, a senior policy analyst on the Domestic Policy Council and Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy. Klein also was a health policy assistant to the First Lady. The collection contains memos, correspondence, reports, drafts, and talking points. Topics include Medicare, Medicaid, health care reform and the Health Security Act, the 1996 State of the Union, and correspondence between the First Lady and various members of Congress. Freedom of Information Act Collection Textual (2014-0226-F) 401(k) Plans, IRAs [Individual Retirement Accounts], and Defined Contribution Retirement/Pensions This collection consists of material dealing with retirement plans and pensions. It contains correspondence, memoranda, drafts, newspaper clippings, background materials, press releases, talking points, and lists. There are two groups of letters from President Clinton to members of the Senate urging them to support the “ERISA Enforcement Improvement Act” designed to protect the 401(k) plans of American workers and thanking them for backing legislation intended to expand the IRA so that it could be used for education costs without penalty. Records from the Automated Records Management System and the Tape Restoration Project include emails addressing the following topics: pension reform, pension protection, 401(k) plans, IRAs, and the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation (PBGC). Mandatory Declassification Review Collection Textual (2014-0278-M) Declassified documents concerning Rwanda This Mandatory Declassification Review contains material on Rwanda from 1993 thru 1994, from the files of various NSC directors of Global Affairs, African Affairs, Staff Director, and the National Security Advisor. Material includes emails and memos to the National Security Advisor from NSC African Affairs and Global Affairs directors regarding U.N. peacekeeping efforts in Rwanda during the fall and winter in 1993 and daily updates on Rwanda during the spring of 1994.
