Tsuneishi was one of the greeters to meet President and Mrs. Clinton when they arrived at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. He was also present at the ceremony where President Clinton gave the capstone speech honoring the 50th Anniversary of World War II. This collection consists of a schedule, a list of participants and attendees, a biography, and veteran information forms related to the fiftieth anniversary of the end of the war in the Pacific. Systematically Processed Collection Textual (2011-0415-S) Lissa Muscatine - Office of the First Lady This collection consists of the files of Lissa Muscatine from First Lady Hillary Clinton’s Press Office. The records cover topics such as health care, women’s rights, the Millennium Council, Hillary Clinton’s 2000 Senate campaign. The records include press interviews given by the First Lady, records concerning her domestic and foreign travel, speeches and remarks, and press releases. Freedom of Information Act Collection Photographs (2011-0425-F) White House Photos - Dick Morris - Political Advisor - Campaign Manager This collection consists of photographs of advisor Dick Morris from the years 1995 and 1996. The photographs come from meetings, briefings, and receiving lines involving advisor Dick Morris, President Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and senior staff policy advisors. Freedom of Information Act Collection Photographs (2011-0426-F) White House Photos - Government Shutdown (1995-1996) This collection consists of photographs of budget meetings at the White House including: President Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, Sec. Robert Rubin, Sen. Bob Dole, Rep. Newt Gingrich, Rep. Dick Armey, Sen. Tom Daschle, Rep. Richard Gephardt, Leon Panetta, and others. The meetings at the White House were negotiations to solve the budget impasse and government shutdown. The United States federal government shut down due to a lapse in funding from November 14 through November 19, 1995, and from December 16, 1995, to January 6, 1996. The photos are from 1995 and 1996. Freedom of Information Act Collection Textual (2011-0460-F) Base Closure and Realignment Commission (BRAC) and the Oakland Army Base The Oakland Army Base operated from 1941 to 1999, during that time it played a vital role in shipping war material to the pacific theatre of operations. It was closed as part of the 1995 round of the Base Closure and Realignment Commission (BRAC). Records to be released include those related to the Oakland Army Base and the 1995 Base Closure and Realignment Commission. However the majority of documents are more closely related to the 1995 BRAC round as a whole, including the BRAC recommendations report for 1995. Included are documents related to the economic impact of closing bases, letters from legislators, local officials, and business associations expressing support for or urging refusal of the commission's recommendations, and records related to why bases considered in 1995 should not be closed. Freedom of Information Act Collection Videos (2011-0463-F) White House Videos - Oklahoma City Bombing This collection consists of video recordings of President Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton greeting officials and being briefed by local law enforcement, emergency rescue personnel, and firemen at the State Fairgrounds Arena holding area in Oklahoma City, OK on April 23, 1995. The video recording also contains footage of the Clintons greeting and speaking to families of United States Secret Service officers who perished during the bombing. This collection specifically concerns the 1998 Easter Egg Roll that was broadcast over the Internet. The records consist of contracts, correspondents, and press between the participants in the broadcast: The White House Visitor's Office, The National Park Service, and Earthlink. It was the largest cybercast of its kind and provided children across the nation with the opportunity to the watch Easter Egg Roll for the first time. Schnur served as the Associate Director for Education Policy from 1998-1999. The collection contains records related to education conferences, awards, and events. This collection consists of conference agendas, articles, press releases, correspondence, memoranda, reports, publications, vice presidential speech transcripts, and emails. Systematically Processed Collection Textual (2011-0568-S) White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy The White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy (WHCCAMP) was established by EO 13147 on March 7, 2000 for a two-year period in response to a growing public use of and interest in alternatives to standard medical care. These records cover WHCCAMP meetings and consist of minutes, testimony, and transcripts as well as planning and informational material. Lussier was a White House Fellow in 2000 who worked with education issues relating to school violence, Hispanic education, after-school programs, teacher quality, and the fiscal year 2001 budget. David Lussier's records include fact sheets, press releases, articles, memoranda, reports, publications, emails, draft legislation, speech transcripts, and speech drafts. Freedom of Information Act Collection Textual (2011-0582-F) George Stephanopoulos - Office of the Chief of Staff This collection consists of records from George Stephanopoulos’ files relating to communications and press strategy. Mr. Stephanopoulos began serving as de facto Press Secretary at the White House giving the daily press briefings. Later in 1993, he became the White House Communications Director and later became Senior Advisor to the President for Policy and Strategy. In 1995, he was Senior Advisor to the President and Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff for Policy. The Subject Files and the Chief of Staff files contain correspondence, memos, notes, speeches, talking points and press clippings. These records include material on affirmative action, budget, community empowerment, education, economy, human radiation experiments, taxes, and trade.
